Angel Ong, RD, MSc
Angel Ong is a registered dietitian and a member of the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and her Master’s degree in Human Nutrition at the School of Human Nutrition of McGill University. In addition to her time dedicated to Keenoa, she is currently pursuing her PhD degree in Human Nutrition at McGill University to work on the Calcium Study at the Research Institute of McGill University Health Centre. Her current research project is a randomized controlled trial that examines the impact of calcium from food sources as compared to calcium from supplements on the vascular health of healthy postmenopausal women.
Angel is also a member of Dietitians of Canada and she has been directly involved in nation-wide activities to help improve the health of Canadians. She was the National Spokesperson of Dietitians of Canada for the region of Quebec (2014-2015) and continues to work with the media to communicate scientific evidence based information to the general public on the role of nutrition in health and chronic diseases, including osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease.
